About Choice Floors

Formerly Choice Floor Center, Choice Floors was started in 1976 as a general flooring business. We have installed flooring throughout suburban Maryland and surrounding areas for over 45 years. We offer premium brands and services before, during, and after the sale. We are a premier dealer for Shaw Flooring, Mohawk Flooring, Mannington, and Daltile.

Our Story
Choice Floors was founded in Prince George’ County in 1976 by our CEO Ken Cleaver & his partner Glenn Walker. The two moved the company to a storefront in Calvert County in 1985 and flourished in the developing communities of Southern Maryland and beyond. Flooring, showers & baths, backsplashes, statement walls and more, Choice Floors has created some truly remarkable projects over the years. Finding a way to meet every customer’s need; word of mouth grew in the area that Choice was the place to go for flooring and more. In fact, a customer coming to Choice with the need for stair is ultimately how Choice Floors was born.

Choice Floors & Stairways manufactures & ships stairways and stair parts right here in Largo, MD. Our expert team will work with you to design, spec, and build a stairway for any project. We’re hand on from beginning to end.

What we do
Growing from one customer’s need for a simple stairway, Choice Stairways now works with national, local, and regional builder clients: designers, homeowners and contractors for all stair and rail needs. Our design and production teams are capable of creating anything from a grand statement custom stairs down to a simple pine basement stair. Serving Maryland, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, West Virginia, and North Carolina, Choice Stairways is the premiere stair and rail company on the east coast. Over the years the focus has remained constant, the customer’s need is what drives the team at Choice to continue to be a leader in the industry.
